Broker comments

The Vixen II (Ex Jessica) was ordered in 1914 by Wilson Marchall, president of the New York Yacht club who sailed the Trans-Atlantic record in 1905 which was not broken until 2005 with the schooner Atlantic. It thus became the 1 eunit class (NYYC 40's) ever. Vixen II is also the founder of the Antiqua classic race. Kenny and Jane Coombs, the founders of this race, were crew aboard at the time. In 2002 Vixen II won this race in her class and also the Concours de Elegance for best maintained boat. She also won the famous Foxy wooden boat regatta and Boston Seaport Museum regatta. In 1978 rebuilt in Epoxy composite Ferrocore so very friendly in maintenance. Famous former owners were JP Morgan and movie star Warren Beatty. Now chartering around Ibiza and since 2005 owned by a Dutch owner.
