Combining high performance with low fuel consumption, the Wider 42 is equipped with two 480hp Cummins engines that take her to over 50 knots - an impressive speed for a 42' cruising yacht. These performance figures are largely due to the stepped hull, designed by offshore racing specialist Mark Wilson, as well as the Arneson surface driven propellers. 70% of the Wider 42 is made of carbon to achieve a relatively light displacement and excellent power-to-weight ratio. As a result, the Wider 42 offers improved efficiency and has a longer range than other yachts in this size category. With the distinctive Wider expanding cockpit, the Wider 42 offers double the area of a conventional 42-footer. The cockpit opens at the push of a button - the process takes just 12 seconds - and expands amidships to an 18m2 deck area when the yacht is at anchor. Yacht includes jet ski Seadoo RXB 255.
